The miracles of the Noor of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)

On seeing the Noor of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), the soul of Hadhrat Adam (Peace be upon him) had gone into the body, but the soul of Hadhrat Adam (Peace be upon him) would remember the closeness to Allah Ta'ala, which it enjoyed before coming into this restricted space and remaining in the body was becoming all the more difficult for it.  It would cry all the time.

Allah Ta'ala would console the soul of Hadhrat Adam (Peace be upon him) by sometimes making the angels prostrate to it, sometimes it would tour it in the heavens, sometimes by keeping it in heaven, then He would send messages after messages, so that the soul with the pleasure of receiving the messages, the soul should stay in the body.

Then Hadhrat Adam and Hadhrat Hawwa (Peace be upon them) were married and Durud was decided as their Mehr.  Now this has been cancelled.

When Hadhrat Adam (Peace be upon him) started having children, each time he would have 2 children, but Hadhrat Sheesh (Peace be upon him) was born alone.  He did not have anybody with him, as the Noor of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) was transferred to Hadhrat Sheesh (Peace be upon him) and Allah Ta'ala did not desire to take a partner for this Noor.

When the time for passing away of Hadhrat Adam (Peace be upon him) came, he instructed Hadhrat Sheesh: Son! You have the Noor of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) in you.  Transfer it into the virtuous women using lawful means.

After this, each forefather would instruct the one after them in the same way.  For this, the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said: I have been transferred from pure backs into pure wombs.

Allah Ta'ala says:

O Prophet! We kept transferring your Noor into worshippers.

Surah Ash-Ashu'ara-219

Surely a (Glorious) Messenger from amongst yourselves has come to you.

Surah Tauba-128

The recitation of this verse is of 2 kinds.  In one recitation, there is a "Pesh" to the "Fa."  In another, there is a "Zabar" to the "Fa."  Here this recitation is meant.  With this, the meaning is: Verily! The Holy Prophet has arrived being transferred from the finest women and men among you.

You have read earlier that with the Noor of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) Hadhrat Adam (Peace be upon him) was created, then with Hadhrat Adam, Hadhrat Hawwa (Peace be upon him) was created.

The Noor was transferred and reached Hadhrat Hashim.  The Noor of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) would shine in Hadhrat Hashim's forehead.  Wherever he would go, everything would prostrate to him.

Then when the Noor was transferred to Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib, the fragrance of Musk would come from his body and the Noor of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) would shine in his forehead.  Whenever the Quraish would face a drought, they would hold the hand of Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib, take him to the top of mountain and pray to Allah Ta'ala through him and it would rain.  With the blessings of the Noor of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam), the drought would be removed.

In Surah Feel (Alam Tara) in the Holy Quran, the blessings of the Noor of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) through Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib is mentioned.  Here it is summarized briefly.

Abraha was sent by Najashi, the king of Abyssinia was sent to conquer Yemen.  There Abraha built a church.  His intention was that people should come to visit it like they visit the Ka'aba.  When he did not succeed in this, he thought of destroying the Ka'aba, so that people come to visit the church.  He took a lot of army including elephants with him and went to Makkah.  A white elephant was also with him.  When this news reached him, Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib called the Quraish and told them not to worry as the Ka'aba does not need their protection, but is their protector.

On reaching Makkah, the army started plundering and caught 400 camels of Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib.

Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib took the Quraish with him to the top of a mountain.  From there, the Ka'aba was clearly visible.  The Noor of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) which was in the forehead of Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib had taken the shape of crescent and was shining on his forehead.  The rays of this Noor were falling on the Ka'aba.  On seeing this, Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib told the Quraish: O Quraish, you have been saved from all kinds of difficulties and nothing will happen to the Ka'aba.  By Allah! When this Noor is expressed the way it is now, I have been victorious.  On hearing this, the Quraish returned and busied themselves in their work.

Abraha made a person an envoy and sent him to Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib and told his envoy that I have come to destroy the Ka'aba and fighting you is not my intention.

When the envoy reached Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib and saw the Noor of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) in his forehead, he fainted.  Some sounds started coming from him as if a cow is being slaughtered.  After considerable time, the envoy came to his senses and as soon as he did so, he prostrated before the Noor and told Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib: Verily you are the leader of the Quraish.

Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib went to Abraha.  On hearing about his coming, Abraha called him into his court and also sent for his white elephant, which he had brought for destroying the Ka'aba.  The reason for sending for the elephant was to frighten Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib.

When the elephant came to the court and saw Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib and the Noor in his forehead.  The moment he saw it, he fell prostrate before the Noor, although this elephant would not prostrate to anyone.  After this the elephant talked in an eloquent language: O Abdul Muttalib! My Salaam (greetings) to the Noor to in your back and to the Noor shining in your forehead.

On seeing this, Abraha came down from the throne and sat on the ground along with Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib.  The prostration of the elephant affected Abraha in such a way that he treated Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib with great respect and asked him what he wanted.  Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib demanded his camels.  Abraha expressed his astonishment at this that he is not talking about the Ka'aba, but his camels.  Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib told that he is the owner of the camels and I am worried about them.  The Lord of the Ka'aba will take care of the Ka'aba.

Abraha returned the camels of Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib.  He returned and held the curtain of the Ka'aba and prayed:

Summarized translation:

The enemy of this house is your enemy.

Whom can we turn to, except you!

Save your house from them O Lord!

The Dua is showing that he was a monotheist otherwise he would have asked for the idols to intercede.  With what a truthful heart is he saying that I don't have any hope from anybody excepting you.

Friends! See how on the Dua of Wali, Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib, Allah Ta'ala saves His house.

Abraha and his army are ready to go and destroy the Ka'aba.  Suddenly he sees that a flock of birds is coming.  They have pebbles in their beaks and claws.  With the command of Allah Ta'ala, these birds dropped these pebbles on Abraha and his army.

Friends! How should I describe how those pebbles were!  On whichever rider they fell, they would make a hole from the head through the body of the rider and the horse and reach the ground.  Abraha and his whole army were destroyed.  Ka'aba stood with all its glory and will remain standing.

This was a miracle of the Noor of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) before its birth.

One day Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib awoke from sleep with Surma in his eyes, with his hair oiled, wearing a very expensive garment.  He was really surprised that he did not know who had done this.  His father took him to the sorcerers of Quraish who told that this is an indication that the time for the Noor of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) to be transferred.  He should be married.

The Noor was transferred to Hadhrat Abdullah.  Whenever any Jew came to Makkah, he would see the face of Hadhrat Abdullah and say: People! This is not the Noor of Abdullah, but of Muhammad Bin Abdullah.  When Hadhrat Abdullah would pass by any idol, the idol would cry out: O Abdullah! Don't come near us, the Noor, which is in your forehead, means destruction for all of us.

When Hadhrat Abdullah saw strange things happening, he talked to his father:

Father! When I climb any mountain of Makkah, 2 Noor come out from my back and 1 spreads in the east and the other in the west.  Then both of them contract and ascend the sky like a cloud.  The skies open for this Noor and this Noor goes inside the sky.  Then it returns after a moment.

Explanation: This indicates that His religion will spread from the east to the west.

Father! Wherever I sit, I hear a voice: Salaam on you, o trustee of the Noor of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)

Explanation:  The earth great Hadhrat Abdullah with Salaam.  This means that even the nonliving things will give witness to the Prophethood of the Prophet who is to be born.

Father! When I sit under a dead tree that tree blooms and casts the shadow of its branches on me.  When I stand on dry land, grass grows on it.  When I go away from there, the tree and ground become like they were earlier.

Explanation:  This indicates that now the Prophet is going to come who will give life to dead hearts.

The People of the Book on seeing the signs, which are given in their books, understood that Hadhrat Abdullah will come from Hadhrat Abdullah and became enemies of Hadhrat Abdullah and desired to kill him, but would return on seeing strange things.

Once Hadhrat Abdullah went for hunting.  Some Jews drew their swords and attacked him.  Riders came for nowhere and repulsed all of them.

The fame of Hadhrat Abdullah's beauty was spread far and wide and after coming to know that the last Prophet is going to come through him, many women desired to become the mother of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam).

Hadhrat Abdul Muttalib was searching for a woman who is virtuous, of a good family and chaste.  This was written in the fate of Hadhrat Amina.  Hadhrat Abdullah was betrothed to her and married her.
