*Ahad!Ahad!*Renounce Islam or Swelter & Die!{Bilal[r.a] Steadfastness Rewarded!Heart Wrenching

Bilal (Radhiyallaho anho) is one of the best known of the galaxy of Sahabah as moazzin of the Prophet's (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) masjid. He was an Abyssinian slave of a disbeliever in Mecca. His conversion to Islam was, naturally, not liked by his master and he was, therefore, persecuted mercilessly.

Ummayah bin Khalaf, who was the worst enemy of Islam, would make him lie down on the burning sand at midday and would place a heavy stone on his breast, so that he could not even move a limb.

He would then say to him:

"Renounce Islam or swelter and die."

Even under these afflictions, Bilal (Radhiyallaho anho) would exclaim:-

"Ahad"-The One (Allah). "Ahad"-The One (Allah).

He was whipped at night and with the cuts thus received, made to lie on the burning ground during the day to make him either forsake Islam or to die a lingering death from wounds.

The torturers would get tired and take turns (Abu Jahl, Umayyah and others) and vie with one another in afflicting more and more painful punishment, but Hadhrat Bilal (Radhiyallaho anho) would not yield.

At last Abu Bakr (Radhiyallaho anho) bought his freedom, and he became a free Muslim.

As Islam taught implicitly the oneness of the Almighty Creator, while the idolaters of Mecca believed in many gods and goddesses with minor godlings, therefore Bilal (Radhiyallaho anho) repeated:

"Ahad (The One), Ahad (The One)."

This shows his love and devotion to Allah. Allah was so dear to him that no amount of persecution could distract him from reciting His Holy name. It is said that the urchins of Mecca would drag him in the streets, with his words "Ahad!, Ahad!" ringing in their wake.

Look how Allah rewarded his steadfastness!

He was to have the honour of becoming the Prophet's Moazzin.

He was always to remain with him at home and abroad to call out the Azaan for his Salaat. After the Prophet's death it became very hard for him to continue his stay in Madinah where he would miss him at every step and in every corner. He therefore left Madinah, and decided to pass the rest of his life striving in the path of Allah. Once he beheld the Prophet (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) in his dream saying to him:

"
O, Bilal! How is it that you never visit me."

No sooner did he get up than he set out for Madinah. On reaching there, Hadhrat Hasan and Hadhrat Husain (Radhiyallaho anhuma) (The Prophet's (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) grandsons) requested him to call out the Azaan. He could not refuse them, for they were very dear to him. But as soon as the Azaan was called, the people of Madinah cried openly out of their anguish at the memory of the happy old days of the Prophet's (Sallallaho alaihe wasallam) time. Even the women came out of their houses weeping.

Hadhrat Bilal (Radhiyallaho anho) left Madinah again after a few days and died in Damascus in 20 A.H.

Notes:-The great devotee and Muazzin of Rasulallah , the courageous and beloved Abyssinian by the name of Hazrat Bilal Habshi passed away in the middle of reading Azan in Damascus, Syria between the years 638 and 642 (AD).

This was the second time after the death of Rasulallah that Hazrat Bilal recited the Azan.

'The Servant Exists Between the Hands of Allah {2}Two Times' (Quran & Imam Ibn AI-Qayyim)

Bismillaah, wal-hamdulilaah, was-salaatu

was-salaamu 'alaa Rasoolillaah,

As Salaamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakatuh.

The servant exists between the
hands of Allah at two times:-

while standing during performing Prayer

and

standing on the Day of Resurrection.

Whoever fulfills the rights of the first standing,
will in fact be facilitating the second one,

and whoever considers this easy and does not pay due attention to it...

he will be making the other one difficult for himself.

Allah, the Almighty says:-

"And during night, prostrate yourself to Him.

 { the offering of 'Maghrib'
and  'Isha' prayers }

and glorify Him a long night through.
 { Tahajjud prayer }

Verily! These (disbelievers) love the present life of this world, and put behind them a heavy Day (that will be hard)."

(Quran ~AI-Insan, 76: 26-27)

Those who sleep during Friday Khutbah

In The name of Allah,The Most Merciful,The Most gracious

Those who sleep during Friday Khutbah

Some people including me sleep during the Khutbah (sermon) of the Jumu`ah (Friday) Prayer. What is your opinion, our eminent Shaykh? What is the ruling of Islam on this regard?

It is obligatory for a Muslim to listen to the Khutbah and stay away from distractions like talking or sleeping. It was reported by Muslim in his Sahih (Authentic Hadith Book) on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

Anyone who performs Ghusl (full ritual bath) and then goes to offer the Jumu`ah (Friday Prayer) and performs the (supererogatory) prayer that has been ordained for him, listens until the Imam (the one who leads congregational Prayer) concludes the Khutbah (sermon) and then offers the Prayer along with him (the Imam), he would be forgiven for what he did between then and the following Friday, and even three days more.

It was reported on the authority of Ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:

Anyone who speaks during the Jumu`ah (Friday) Prayer while the Imam is delivering the Khutbah is like the donkey who is carrying books, and for those who tell him to listen, there is no (reward for the) Jumu`ah. Al-Hafizh ibn Hajar said that this was related by Ahmad through a good Isnad (chain of narrators).

All this indicates the greatness of the Khutbah of the Jumu`ah as it implies advice and admonition, guidance, calling to goodness and reminding the Muslim of Allah (Exalted be He).

(Part No. 7; Page No. 136)

Hence, the Muslim must be careful about this and must not take it lightly because of the previously mentioned grave warning involved here.

May Allah grant us success! May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions!

I Confess my Weakness,Lack of Wit & Inconsequence [Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam)Prayer]

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi

wa Barkatuh!

Prophet Mohammad

(sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) prayed:-

"To You my Lord I confess my weakness,

my lack of wit

and my Inconsequence

before People.

Dear Merciful Lord,

you are Master of the Weak

and Master of those who depend

upon me.

How much longer shall they Revile me?

How much longer shall my enemies

hold sway over me?

As long as You are not angry

with me then

nothing else can matter.

Your might is greatest before me and

so I seek refuge in the Light of

Your Countenance,

in the Light that drives away

all Darkness !

and in which all things of this world

and the

 next find meaning.

Whether You visit upon me Your Wrath

or Relieve me of my Burden,

 such is Your Right .

until You are Pleased.

Truly there is no power nor glory

but in You."

'O Our People we have Heard a Wonderful Recital the QURAAN{'Quran Al-Jinn /'Bukhaari'}V. Good*

  'Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was
 Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah'.

  'As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu.'

The Quraan and Sunnah indicate that the Jinn exist, and that there is a purpose for their existence in this life, which is to worship Allaah Alone, with no partner or associate.

 Allaah says :-

"And I (Allah) created not the Jinns and Humans, except they should worship Me (Alone)."

[Quran al-Dhaariyaat 51:56].

Abd-Allaah ibn Abbaas, who said:-

~ Prophet Mohammad~

(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)

went out with a group of his Companions heading for the marketplace of Ukaaz.
 {This was when the Shayaateen were prevented from getting any news from heaven, and shooting stars had been sent against them.}

The Shayaateen went back to their people, who said, What is the matter with you They said:-
'We cannot get news from heaven, and shooting stars were sent against us'...

 Their people said:-
'Nothing is stopping you from hearing news from heaven except some new event that must have happened. Go and look in the east and the west of the earth, and see if you can find out what it is that is stopping you from hearing news from heaven.'
Those who went out in the direction of Tihaamah came upon the
Prophet
{peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him}
 in Nakhlah,
when he was on his way to Ukaaz, and found him leading his Companions in Fajr prayer.
When they heard the Quraan, they listened to it and said:-
"By Allaah, this is what is stopping us from hearing news from heaven"?

When they went back to their people, they said:-

" O our people, we have heard a wonderful Recital (the Quraan). It guides to the Right Path, and we have believed therein, and we shall never join (in worship) anything with our Lord Allaah.

  Quran al-Jinn 72:1)

Then Allaah revealed to His Prophet
{peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him} :-

"Say (O Muhammad): It has been revealed to me that a group of Jinns listened (to this Quraan)
and Allaah revealed to him what the jinn had said."

[ Quran al-Jinn 72:2].
